Music & Arts Days bring parents and children and musicians together. As drummers drum and other players join in, children and their parents and creators of any age turn drumsticks into art-work with Sharpie paint-pens.
It's a ball. It's a gas. Sometimes there's dancing.
Sticking Up For Children in New Orleans, our first Base, hosted three Music & Arts Days in 2013. The Keepsake Posters from May 25 and August 10 and the snapshots from December 7, shown at right, give a sense of what happens at a Music & Arts Day.
While New Orleans is undeniably special, a Music &Arts Days can happen anywhere that musicians, parents and children come together for the creating art-work that benefits children in need of opportunities.
